We Are Ready...

As I sit here with my little guy who is running a temp of 103.9 and is curled up on the couch eating soup, I have to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for those that teach elementary school.

I truly believe that teaching is a calling. Not everyone could walk into a classroom everyday, control the chaos that dwells there and learn to love their students while developing lessons that engage and excite their students.

And I believe that every good teacher finds their perfect place in the grade levels in order to truly be a good teacher.

That being said, I know that I could never, ever, ever teach elementary school. Those little kids that are covered in germs, unknown sticky substances, cuts and scrapes, and so many other nasties that make me want to run screaming from every elementary classroom that I have ever entered.

And I appreciate every single one of you who do choose that path. You are truly wonderful people. I don’t know how you do it and I stand in awe.

I am so thankful that my road led me to junior high. That is absolutely without a doubt where I belong.
